UK Web Comix Thing 2008

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 21, 2008, 3:27 AM
So yeah, it's the much hyped comic-con this Saturday, so I thought I'd give you all the details. Please come and say 'Hi!'.

[link]

From what I've seen so far, our table is going to have some pretty awesome stuff...comics, badges, sweets. It's got it all. man.

Embarrassingly, I didn't manage to prepare anything to sell (a mixture of no money and over ambitious ideas that I kept fudging up). But that's not the point. Ultra talent such as [link] , [link] , [link] and [link] will all be selling some fine comics. So check it...yeah?

In other news, I'm doing a comic blog (which I'll link you to when it's more fleshed-out).

Also, The Grandmothers of Invention were AWESOME, The Cottage put me off my tea, and the little I've played of No More Heroes is ruddy fantabulous!

More work up soon!

Peace out chumz!

Well, both 'Studio Tan' and 'One Size Fits All' have their share of complex stuff.

But 'Zappa Live In New York' is great as it features 2 versions of 'The Black Page' and other insanely technical numbers.

OR, if you want 100% complexo all the way, try any of his classical stuff. It's very heavy going though.

Hope that helps matey.

awsooome I will check those out.
lemme ask one more question then I'll leave you alone haha, can you suggest any of his complex stuff like Black Page?
~Crocodile-Chocolate:iconCrocodile-Chocolate: Mar 24, 2008, 2:07:54 PM
Hmmm...so much choice.

Have you tried 'One Size Fits All'? It's the follow up to Apostrophe and is immensely essential to your Zappa collection.

But if you're looking further beyond, try 'You Are What You Is', it's a good starting point for his 80's stuff.

Though my favourite FZ album at the minute is 'Studio Tan'. The opening track is a 20-minute audio cartoon about a pig who invents the calendar. It's awesome!

Heyy how's it goin?
you seem to really dig Frank, just like me haha.
You seem to know alot of his stuff. I'm still stuck in his Overnite-Sensation/Apostraphe phase and havn't really gone far after that, besides Black Page ^^;
could you suggest some really good tunes or albums?
:ahoy:
